A Tribute to John Williams Mary Stuart Rogers Theater at Gallo Center For The Arts Concert reviews
way more amazing live than recorded!!!
"my boyfriend absolutely adores the band, so I wasn't overly thrilled about attending this show... I'd heard a few tracks he enjoys and seen some covers and youtube videos by my younger friends or cousins... it was always "alright"... but live??
INCREDIBLE.
the stage featured a nearly full orchestra, and it was absolutely AMAZING. the audience at the show was quite different from most shows I've been to. This was one of the few general admission shows I've attended in a while (I usually go for reserved seating, but it was sold out when I bought these tickets) and I was a bit anxious about it since I knew I'd be arriving later than planned. HOWEVER, every tall person in front of my boyfriend and me kindly offered to let us move ahead of them (he's under 6ft, but still taller than my 5'2") so we could actually SEE the stage and the performance. This gesture alone made me appreciate the entire experience even more. I've never encountered a crowd so graciously accommodating, allowing not just one but two individuals to move forward for better views without inconveniencing anyone.
the fact that the show was also fantastic just heightened the entire experience beyond my expectations. A Tribute to John Williams, THANK YOU for providing me with such a wonderful display of humanity."
